What will we learn in term 6?

Our topic is 'creep wriggle and crawl?' During our minibeast themed term we will observe the lifecycle of a butterfly, go on minibeast hunts and focus on bees and the importance of bees and what their special role is in our world. We will care for our class garden as we plant seeds and flowers that will grow and attract bees and butterflies. We will make our own seed bombs to take home too. We will learn and retell the story of The Very Hungry Catrerpillar and will be authors and have a go at writing the story too as well as making our own minibeast books. In maths we will take part in a range of minibeast themed problem-solving activities and will explore 2d and 3d shapes to create minibeast habitats and minibeast pictures and models. We will continue our Little Wandle phonics journey broadening our knowledge of letter sounds and tricky words. In RE with our Christian friends, Tessa and Tom we will continue to meet more of their multifaith friends and will leaner about what is special to them and why,
