Welcome to the PTFA section of our website.

Who/What is the PTFA??

We are a group of parents/carers/friends and staff who come together to raise money for the children of St Nicholas at Wade C of E School.

Each year we run numerous fundraising events to raise money which is then spent on resources that enhance the school learning environment which benefit the children.

We always welcome new people to our meetings which are held regularly alternating after school and evening meetings. We always welcome new ideas and offers of help.

The meetings are friendly and informal the only formal parts are having an agenda and minutes taken.

We’re not looking to shoe horn people into roles or to offload jobs, we would just like a bigger think tank!!

If you have any questions / suggestions / offers of help please email the school office for the attention of PTFA or contact the Chair.

Members of the PTFA are often on the playground after school collecting their own children.  If you’re not sure who they are but would like to learn more about the PTFA please enquire at the school office or look at their facebook page.

We are currently busy organising this years Christmas fundraisers.  If you think you can help run a stall at the Christmas fair or perhaps you know of a small business that could offer a raffle prize please don’t hesitate to contact us.

Last year the PTFA arranged many successful fundraising events including:

Christmas Fair
Fizz and Quiz
School Disco 
Easter Party
Summer Fair

They helped to subsidise both the year 5 and 6 residential trips.  The whole school trip to the panto and other class outings.  They also contributed a large sum to the to the new play facilities on the junior playground..
