School Day
The school day starts at 8.45am and finishes at 3.15pm. (32.5 hrs in a typical week)
We open the gates at 8:35am to welcome the children ready for registration at 8:45am and again at 3:05pm ready for the 3:15pm collection.
Early Bird Breakfast Club
We welcome children into breakfast club from 7:45am. They will have a healthy breakfast and the opportunity to engage in a range of activities. The cost of this is £3:00.
Although we like to have provision booked a week in advance, we know that lives are busy and working patterns can change, so we are staffed to ensure that last minute additions to breakfast club are welcome.

Children in Reception Class, Y1 and Y2 have a morning break from 10.30 - 10.45;
Y3, Y4, Y5 and Y6 have a morning break from 10.45-11.00
Lunch
Lunchtime is 12-1pm for all children. Years Reception, 1 and 2 will go into the dining hall at 12pm and years 3, 4, 5 and 6 will eat at 12:25pm.
Collective Worship
Takes place either first thing in the morning or at the end of the day.
Drop-off and collection
At the beginning of the school day parents should drop their children at the school gate between 8.35 and 8.45. They will be greeted by a member of staff and then go straight to their classrooms where their teacher will be waiting with activities so that they are busy from the very start of their day.
At the end of the school day, parents are encouraged into the playground. This helps to build up a close relationship between home and school – we want to have good links with all parents. If normal arrangements have to be altered (e.g. you are delayed or another person is collecting your child) please let us know. This avoids any confusion or upset. If you arrive at school late please come in via the front office.
Getting to school
To get to and from school, walking is definitely the best option! There are lots of benefits: it’s healthier than travelling by car, it improves the safety of pedestrians and road-users, and it respects nearby residents and parking regulations. Alternatively, we have bicycle and scooter racks. If you do need to travel by car, please park wisely. The Bell Inn and The Sun Inn, in the village, have kindly offered us the use of their car parks for parents to park in during morning drop off and afternoon pick up times.
