Anti Bullying
Bullying is “Behaviour by an individual or a group, usually repeated over time that intentionally hurts another individual either physically or emotionally”. (DfE “Preventing and Tackling Bullying”, November 2014)
At St. Nicholas at Wade CEP School, we will do all we can to try and prevent bullying. We are committed to providing a safe environment where children can thrive socially and academically, free from fear. Everything that happens in school life is underpinned by our Christian vision and values, which support maintaining a respectful and harmonious place to belong. However, we are acutely aware that children are learning and will make mistakes, and where bullying occurs we are resolute about intervening swiftly. We always involve parents, so that we can stop the behaviour in the immediate, but also work with children to help prevent repetitive behaviours.
