A Trip to the Stars

To support our learning in our Stargazers topic, Oak class took a visit around the solar system when the Astrodome came to St Nicholas. 

Rocket Launch

Inspired by our journey around the solar system, Year 6 designed, built and tested a rocket capable of flying whilst keeping a 'passenger' safe. Of the 10 rockets that were launched, eight 'passengers' survived the flight.

Remembrance - November 2023

The children crafted cardboard windmills and then pieced them all together to create this fantastic wreath for our Remembrance service. 

Joffre White - Author visit - November 2023

We were lucky enough to have Joffre White, author of Frog and Aura Boy, visit us virtually during November. He told us all about the writing process and explained how he found the inspiration for his characters. We had loads of questions to ask and thoroughly enjoyed the session.
