Uniform

School uniform is valued as an important feature of our school and is worn by all of our children.  Parents are asked to ensure that pupils are dressed in our school uniform; we think that this looks smart and gives the children a sense of pride in belonging to our school community.

The basic requirements of school uniform include:

Girls

School sweatshirt and/or fleece, bottle green jumper or cardigan,
White blouse or school white polo shirt,
Grey or dark green skirt or grey pinafore dress or black trousers,
In summer, a green and white striped or gingham patterned dress
  White socks
Suitable black or brown flat shoes or sandals

Boys

School sweatshirt and/or fleece, white shirt or school white polo shirt
   Grey or black trousers/tailored shorts
   Bottle green jumper
   Black or brown shoes

P.E. Uniform: (Boys and girls):

Plain white T-shirt and navy/black/white shorts
Black or white plimsolls (in a named P.E. bag please) for indoor P.E.
Children may wear their school house coloured (plain red, blue, yellow or green) P.E. top
Trainers or appropriate boots for football and rugby
Tracksuits may be worn for outdoor games.

(Jewellery: To prevent upset from loss and for safety reasons, please ensure that your child does not wear jewellery to school.  If your child has pierced ears, please ensure that only small, stud earrings are worn.  Please speak with the Head Teacher if your child needs to wear any particular items as part of a religious observance.  Watches may be worn.)

In accordance with KCC policy and for safety, your child will have to remove earrings and watches for PE and games lessons.

Please ensure that all items of clothing are labelled; like all schools we accumulate a great deal of un-named, unclaimed lost property each term; if property is clearly labelled we are usually successful in returning it quickly to the pupil concerned.  In particular, green sweatshirts and plimsolls need identification as these are sometimes inadvertently mixed up by children.

Water Bottles are available to purchase at the school office.

Please let us know, in confidence, if you have any difficulties, financial or otherwise, in obtaining uniform for your child.

Our uniform can be obtained from the Schoolwear Centre, 56 Addington Street Margate, Kent.
