School Meals

Hot School Meals

Our meals are prepared off site and delivered to our school kitchen in time to be served at lunchtime.

How much are school meals?

School lunches cost £2.68 a day or £13.40 for a complete week. (Sept 23)

All children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 are entitled to Universal Free School Meals.

School lunches need to be paid for in advance online with the School Money app.

What will my child be eating?

All children can either choose to have a hot school dinner or a packed lunch.  We encourage parents to provide a healthy lunch box and do not allow sweets or fizzy drinks in their packed lunch.

Snacks

All infant children are provided with a fruit or vegetable snack at breaktime.  KS2 children are encourage to bring a piece of fresh fruit as a breaktime snack.  No other snacks are allowed.

All children are encouraged to bring a refillable water bottle.  These should only contain water.  Juice is only allowed as part of a child's lunch.

School holiday arrangements

We are working with KCC to make sure that families who are eligible for benefits-related free school meals will receive vouchers to feed their children during school holidays. If eligible you will receive a £10 voucher per eligible child, which can be spent in supermarkets and local shops.

If your child gets free school meals because they are in year 2 or below, you will still need to apply for benefits-related free school meals to get vouchers during the school holidays.
